Justin M. Howell 

Justin holds a BFA from Syracuse University and a Master’s Degree in Restoration Ecology from the University of Washington. His thesis work focused on developing intellectual tools to help restoration practitioners increase project efficiency and efficacy through the organization and interpretation of sound design principals and established best management practices.

Justin brings an enthusiasm for ecological restoration fostered by over ten years of professional experience. He has worked as the Project Coordinator for the Union Bay Natural Area, a Natural Resource Specialist for the City of Mercer Island, an Assistant Land Manager for the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies in Basalt Colorado, a Crew Leader for EarthCorps in Seattle Washington and as a Program Coordinator for Northwaters Wilderness Programs in Northern Ontario. Justin enjoys a variety of outdoor activities but displays a particular passion for mountaineering. He has climbed many high peaks throughout the United States, Peru and Bolivia. He lives in Seattle with his wife Anna and their sons Swift (4) and Ewan (1).
